Apple crisp isn't exactly a guilt-free breakfast. But I love apple crisp. What do to?
We make our own fresh version, of course.
Here is a way-healthy version of the traditional version. It's crispy. It's fresh tasting. And what I love about this version is that it's...again...completely GOOD for you... and NOT full of sugar.
No-Guilt Breakfast Apple Crisp
in a bowl, cut up a small apple;
add 2 orange segments, cut into small pieces
in a pan with a dab of butter,
crisp up 2 egg whites mixed in rolled oats
(more oats, so that the egg whites are "wet" on the oats)
cook until crisp
place the apple/orange mix onto a plate
cover with the cooked oats
dab on a dollop of of almond butter
dribble lines of honey over the top
Enjoy!
Live happy and healthy,
Erin
